The media industry has witnessed major developments within the framework of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, benefiting from the tremendous technological progress in the fields of information technology, the Internet of Things, in addition to the use of robots in the production and manufacture of media content. These developments have led to an increase in interest in academic research in this field, with a focus on its various dimensions, whether related to journalistic content, readers, or journalists. Hence, the problem of the study stems from providing a critical analytical vision by monitoring and analyzing modern trends in research on the use of artificial intelligence technologies in specialized digital journalism, at the level of foreign and Arab studies, during the period from 2020 to 2024 AD, which represents a step towards the possibility of making comparisons and achieving a deeper research vision, which contributes to revealing how this research has developed, analyzing it critically, and thus providing a future vision in this field.
The current study belongs to the descriptive analytical studies, and relies on the use of the second-level data analysis method, which is one of the most important research methods used in analyzing various sources, such as studies, research, and literature related to any field of human knowledge. In this context, the study relied on conducting a qualitative and quantitative analysis of scientific studies related to the impact of artificial intelligence on specialized digital journalism published in foreign and Arab peer-reviewed journals, in the period from 2020 to 2024 AD,
