Abstract

Social networking sites play a major and influential role in practicing freedom of opinion and expression among individuals, especially adolescents. Through them, adolescents can view everything new in various fields, and it is not limited to that only, but they can also add a comment (written, still images, animated, add emoticons) or even enter discussion groups. With the availability of all this great electronic development that made expressing opinions on social networking sites possible, new phenomena have emerged among users of these sites, which is the possibility of making comments or chats, with the presence of many violations through these comments due to the lack of many factors such as the governmental oversight factor. The study found that there were statistically significant differences between the averages of the total adolescents on the scale of moral values ​​according to demographic variables (gender - age - level of education), and the existence of a statistically significant correlation between adolescents' use of social networking sites as a tool for freedom of opinion and expression and the chaos of moral values.
