TikTok is one of the most used social media applications in Saudi. Although educational and entertainment content is common in the app, there are concerns raised regarding its implications on moral values. This study aimed to identify the use of "Tik Tok" by Saudi users and the extent of its effects on moral values. The study relied on uses and gratifications theory and collected data using surveys of a sample of (350) Saudi Tik Tok users.
The study concluded the existence of a statistically significant correlation between the intensity of Tik Tok use and the motives for useing Tik Tok. The results also confirmed a correlation between the motives for using Tik Tok and enhancing the content of Tik Tok for positive values (t = 0.317), which means that the higher the availability of motives for using Tik Tok, the higher it will be, consequently, the higher the ability of Tik Tok to promote positive values. The results also confirmed that there is no correlation between the motives for using Tik Tok and the reinforcement of the content of TikTok for negative values. Also, there were no significant differences between the sample in terms of evaluating the impact of their interaction with Tik Tok content on users’ lives according to demographic variables (education, age ), while it was proven that there were no significant differences between the sample in terms of evaluating the impact of their interaction with the content of Tik Tok on users’ lives according to gender variable.
