The impact of the opinions of social influencers on the formation of public opinion among young people

Abstract

The research aims to understand the impact of various media and social platforms on shaping public opinion among youth. It analyzes the role social influencers play in conveying opinions and ideas to young people and examines how youth respond to these influencers' opinions and how it affects the formation of their mental beliefs. It also explores the relationship between social influencers' viewpoints and the trends of public opinion among youth in the context of existing cultural and social variables.



A survey method was employed, targeting a sample of youth using social media platforms such as Snapchat, WhatsApp, Twitter, and Facebook. The purpose was to understand the influence of social influencers' opinions on forming the mental image of youth towards public opinion issues. An electronic questionnaire was administered, containing a number of significant questions that, although not lengthy, yielded numerous conclusions beneficial to the research topic.



Key findings of this research include:

- The extent to which social influencers' opinions shape public opinion among youth, highlighting the importance of understanding the dynamics of modern societies. Social influencers, whether celebrities or public figures in the political or cultural fields, share insights and opinions through social media, significantly impacting the youth.

- Highlighting the importance of analyzing youth behavior, as understanding their behavior and the influence of social influencers on their decision-making in various fields such as politics, culture, and religion aids significantly in taking necessary precautions to prevent negative impacts from influencers' content.
