Abstract:
The field of journalism is undergoing a tremendous digital transformation, leading to a significant reliance on electronic journalism. With the emergence of new technologies like virtual reality and artificial intelligence, new forms of journalism such as immersive journalism and AI journalism have emerged.
The Metaverse, a virtual world that merges the physical and virtual, is the next frontier in journalism. Metaverse technology will allow journalists and audiences to interact in a virtual environment, impacting the nature of the medium, the message format, the communicator's characteristics, and the target audience.
This study aims to analyze the perspectives of experts and academics in digital media and electronic journalism on the future of digital journalism in the Metaverse. The study will explore the potential impacts of Metaverse technology on various aspects of digital journalism.
