Exposure to News Content through Digital Media and its Relationship to the Level of Awareness of Artificial Intelligence Technologies among the Egyptian Public (A Field Study)

Abstract

This research sought to identify the relationship between exposure to artificial intelligence technology news through digital media and the level of awareness of these technologies for the Egyptian public. This research belongs to the descriptive studies, based on the sample survey method. The electronic survey was applied to collect data related to the audience of the respondents, the study sample, and our study community consists of the Egyptian audience that is exposed to news content through digital media, and due to the large size of the study community, a random sample of 200 individuals was drawn. Our study reached a few results, including, a small percentage of the respondents who have a low degree of awareness of artificial intelligence techniques, but the largest percentage has a medium degree of awareness of artificial intelligence technologies. The largest percentage of the research sample is affected by the news of artificial intelligence technology through their browsing of various news through various digital media, and there are also differences between the respondents in terms of their place of residence, whether rural or urban, in the average of each of the effects resulting from exposure to news of artificial intelligence technology, and the average The degree of awareness of artificial intelligence technology.
