Abstract
This study aims to examine Arabic and foreign studies that have focused on the phenomenon of influencers on social media platforms, with a specific focus on YouTube as a primary platform for these influencers. The study adopts a descriptive analytical approach, utilizing the second-level analysis method, which involves reusing data from social sciences research. The study will employ a qualitative analysis method to analyse scientific studies that have addressed the phenomenon of influencers on social media, with a focus on studies of the content of YouTube channels and their impact on their followers.
The thematic framework of the study population is defined as a set of published and unpublished research in both Arabic and foreign languages that are relevant to the study topic. Researchers will obtain this research through a comprehensive survey of Arab and Western libraries, databases, and information available on the internet, excluding books, during the last ten years (2014-2023).
The study is divided into three research themes:
Theme One: Studies of the influencer phenomenon on social media platforms.
Theme Two: Analysis of the content of YouTube channels.
Theme Three: Studying the impact of YouTubers on their followers from a political, marketing, and social perspective.
